Finally I Found A Catrine Demew Monster High Doll

I had seen lots of reviews for Monster High’s Catrine Demew here but I hadn’t been able to find a doll myself, despite almost daily trips to Walmart. She’s a Walmart exclusive Monster High Doll so every day on my way to the post office for my eBay business I’ve been stopping by my local store and checking out the toy department. Finally yesterday I hit the jackpot. There were 4 Catrine Demew dolls on the shelf. I bought one to open and play with, and one to keep in the box. I always kind of feel sorry for the dolls that have to stay in the box. Remember Toy Story 2? Jessie hated being in the box..

So here’s my Catrine Demew doll as I opened her and checked her out. Her box is like the other Scaris City of Frights Monster High boxes. Nice scenery from the Monster High friends trip to Scaris. Look you can even see Deuce Gorgon sightseeing on a scooter.

I’m not sure who this guy is but I think the pretty white kitty following him would be a perfect pet for Catrine Demew. She doesn’t have a pet in the box.

Catrine’s box was super easy to open and she was liberated with just a few snips of plastic. I think Mattel is great that they don’t make us spend half an hour getting the doll and accessories out. Imagine if you had a little girl anxiously awaiting her new doll. So I’m happy with the less restrictive packaging.

I have to say Catrine Demew is a lovely Scarisian werecat. Much prettier than I expected. Her skin/fur is soft pure white, her cat almond shaped eyes are blue, and she has a cute little feline nose. Catrine’s makeup is a twilight shade of purple, with purple, blue, and pink eyeshadow. She’s got purple hair with bright pink streaks. Her hair had a moderate amount of product in it but it brushed out easily without losing the style, and was even bouncier afterwards.

Catrine Demew comes with a black stand, a purse that opens and closes securely with space to hold something small. The bag has an image of the Scarisian skyline. She also has an artist portfolio that includes a painting of her good friend and fellow Scarisian Rochelle Goyle. There’s no hair brush however, so I used one from another doll to fluff up her fur-do.

Catrine wears a knit black skirt and top with pastel colored stripes and dots. She’s got a coordinating scarf tied around her neck. Her shoe heels are little paintbrushes. They are sturdy enough so that she can stand alone, but not as easily as the Monster High Dolls with chunky shoes. These are very femme feline though.

She wears an artist belt with brushes and art supplies around her waist that comes off easily. Her tail is removable and doesn’t seem to fit well within the skirt, maybe it would have been better with a tail hole in the fabric. She has stylish big round sunglasses that fit nicely on her face and fingerless gloves that are painted on her hands.

Overall I’m very hissing happy to welcome the new werecat Catrine Demew to my Monster High Doll family. Her quality and features exceeded my expectations and she’s now getting acquainted with the other Monster High dolls on my collection shelf.
