Progress in the large dollhouse today.  I completed Blythe's room.  Except for the window frames and treatments.  Those are going to be a dollhouse wide project eventually.  And if I find a rug that looks nice I will add it.  In keeping with the semi-Gothic style, I chose black and purple for the palette.  The walls are painted a light heather lavender color and all the trim is black.  There are black wood beams in the ceiling, just like in the kitchen.  I plan to install black ceiling beams in all the rooms except for the attic bedroom.   I cut sheets of dark brown wood flooring so they could be laid in a staggered pattern.  There is quite a bit of finish wear from the cutting process but I think it looks "vintage".  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I painted a clothes cabinet black with a dark purple interior.  Then painted the panels on the front white and added some clear patterned scrapbook plastic sheets to them.  And the chair is the Coffin Bean Monster High chair that I re-colored in the same purple.

Absolutely great job on Blythe’s room makeover! So creative and the little glass jar of wishbones is to die for! Love it!

Thanks so much for reading and for your nice comment. I love the wishbones too. They are actually an item I purchased already made at Tuesday Morning. They brand is Idea-ology and the designer is Tim Holtz. I’m going to keep an eye out for more of his stuff.
