Barbies Little Sister Kelly Celebrates Easter
Barbie's littlest sister Kelly loves to celebrate Easter. She's got lots of pretty Easter theme costumes to collect. Kelly dolls joined the Mattel Barbie family in 1991 when she was in the wedding party of Barbie's friends Midge and Alan. Then in 1995 it was revealed that Kelly was Barbie's baby sister. At that time she had a hold in her mouth that would hold a pacifier or bottle, and she had lots of super cute baby dolly accessories.
Many of the Kelly Easter special edition dolls were Target Exclusives. Many times I passed by them on the end of the checkout aisle and thought how cute they were. I bought a few here and there for my daughter but never imagined that I would be a doll collector in my middle aged years. Now I wish I had bought them all. The good news is that they are still very affordable as collector dolls on secondary markets like Amazon and eBay. They are plentiful and easy to find. I'm trying to collect all of the Easter, Valentines, and Halloween versions. This page features some of the Easter dolls I have managed to acquire, and some that are still on my list. Chelsea And Friends Are The Newest Little Sister of Barbie
In 2010 Kelly was replaced with Chelsea dolls, who are a bit older and taller. She is the same age as the So In Style younger siblings. Chelsea looks an awful lot like Kelly, and has become a favorite with kids and collectors alike.
